The surface of the pond reflects the sky and the leaves above you, yellow, orange and brown. 

And the water shifts between glassy stillness, and rippled patterns set in motion by the breeze, only to become still again.

It’s quiet here, and as you settle in, you feel yourself becoming a part of this peaceful scene. 

Following your breath, it seems as if this whole setting were breathing softly with you. 

Take a few moments to enjoy the comfort of being here, as you gaze at the pond’s changing reflection, and follow your breathing.

A soft wind rustles the leaves overhead, and one of them drifts down, coming to rest on the water. 

Perhaps you’ve become so still inside that this simple event seems quite rich. 

So you watch the leaf, floating on the water, now rippling, and now still. 

Take a little while to observe, as you follow your breathing, and go deeper.

The peace and quiet you feel carries you still deeper within, and the pond fades into the background. 

Now you’re aware only of the gentle rhythm of your breath. 

Focus only on your breathing now, the in breath, the out breath, and the soft movement of your abdomen and chest. 

And allow yourself to become totally engrossed and fascinated by this simple experience. 

If thoughts occur, just let them go, and re-attune to your breathing. 

Enjoy this for some time now.
